The conversations held with renters on energy efficiency will continue to guide local conversations of how the DbqCoED can provide the most impact in our community and individual’s lives. The data collected as part of these conversations will continue to drive efforts to advocate for ratepayer’s rights and provide a baseline for the impact of our efforts.

Additionally, the DbqCoED will be collecting stories from Dubuque County residents through May, thanks to a grant through the Iowa Environmental Council. The storytelling project will focus on stories from those impacted by energy efficiency improvements, energy rate transparency and/ or public health related to energy use. Participants will receive compensation for their participation. Those interested in sharing their story, either through video or written, can contact the energy district to participate.

Thank you to the City of Dubuque Purchase of Service Grant for funding the renter outreach programming and energy efficiency kits. Thank you to the Iowa Environmental Council Ratepayer Bill of Rights Grant for making our storytelling project possible.
